The Vanderbilt Beach area of Naples was among the expanse of acreage acquired by the Collier County namesake of Baron Collier back in the early 1900s. It is said that Collier named the beach out of his respect for the wealthy American industrialist, Cornelius Vanderbilt. In that era, there was probably no other name which better symbolized ideals in success and wealth. And be assured, Vanderbilt Beach continues to reflect similar qualities today.
In addition to the white powdery sands that nuance this beautiful coastal area, you’ll find impressive single-family homes and luxury high-rise condominiums that overlook The Gulf. Vanderbilt Beach Road is also home to the famed Ritz Carlton Beach Resort. However, if one was to continue inland on this same stretch of road, you would come to the Tiburon golf course located on the grounds of the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort. Here’s a fun fact, Naples is THE ONLY CITY IN THE WORLD which has two separate Ritz Carlton resorts located on the very same roadway, and again, that’s Vanderbilt Beach Road.
Residents here additionally benefit from living in close proximity to sensational shopping and dining. The Mercato of Naples, a venue with upscale boutiques, cinematic entertainment and some of Naples’ best restaurants is located only minutes from Vanderbilt Beach.
There’s also kid-friendly fun that can be found close to the community, including The Golisano Children’s Museum and Sun-n-Fun Lagoon, Collier County’s only waterpark.
The Vanderbilt Beach area of Naples remains one of the most highly desirable of home destinations in Collier County. See below for insight on current properties for sale here.
